Simple System Sainfoin Pellets - Premium forage alternative to lucerne and grass, rich in natural minerals and trace elements.
Weight: 20KG
Sainfoin is a premium forage alternative to lucerne and grass. 'Sainfoin' means 'Healthy Hay' in French and this is exactly what it is! It is non-bloating and known to have anthelmintic properties. Our Sainfoin Pellets are rich in natural minerals and trace elements. They are a good source of condensed tannins, which aid digestion of protein. Sainfoin is also a source of naturally occurring copper, which can aid the health of bones, tendons and joints. Sainfoin is suitable for all horses, and can be very beneficial when fed with hay and grass as a nutritious alternative and to add a variety of flavour. Sainfoin is particularly suitable for horses requiring a nutritious diet, including: • Pregnant mares • Foals and young growing horses • Older horses • Competition horses • Horses in recovery Simple System Sainfoin Pellets are 100% pure and free from binders. Feeding Instructions As with any new feed, introduce gradually over a week. Sainfoin Pellets are ideally fed soaked. If appropriate, feed singly as treats or mixed with twice their volume of soaked PuraBeet or twice their volume of chop and well dampened. Use as part of the forage ration or in addition. Use up to 1kg a day per 100kg bodyweight, i.e. 5kg (dry weight, before soaking) per day for a 500kg horse. Feed according to requirement & condition.
