Emerald Green Feeds Fibre Fabulous Chop is made from the same meadow grasses that we grow to make our Meadow Magic Pellets. The grasses used to make this lower energy, low sugar and starch chop have been specially chosen by us and are cut at the perfect growth stage, similar to that of hay, to offer a supreme fibre and lower protein feed. Fibre Fabulous contains nothing whatsoever other than the mature grass it’s made from and is suitable for equines (and foraging animals) that require a lower calorie diet, such as native breeds, the ‘good doers’ and those equines prone to Laminitis. Fibre Fabulous grass is left short-chopped and provides an alternative feeding method to a mash of pellets by promoting chewing and essential saliva production. The chop can be added to soaked pellets to boost chewing time or can be fed alone – dry or dampened. Fibre Fabulous can be fed by itself or alongside any of the other Emerald Green Feeds forages to achieve the individual balance for your animal. The mix of meadow grasses, unique to Emerald Green Feeds, is dried at very high temperature to preserve the forage and seal in the natural goodness. It’s then short-chopped and bagged immediately on site to provide a natural source of nutrients and vitamins that can be used all year round. All the Emerald Green Feeds range is manufactured to a strict code of feed safety by A Poucher and Sons (Bardney Dairies) Ltd. The feeds in our range carry a very practical shelf life of two years from being cut, dried and bagged – each bag is individually stamped with the date of production and even the name of the field where it grew! They don’t just sell the feed, they grow it!
