Fenugreek is traditionally used as an appetite stimulant, especially useful for older horses, fussy eaters or those convalescing, and needing to gain weight, build muscle and topline.

Fenugreek is approx 8% oil, 27% protein, with a wide range of amino acids and good levels of essential amino acid lysine. With a Digestible Energy of 16 to 19 MJ/kg, the seeds are also quite calorific (for comparison, linseed seeds are approx 20 MJ/kg).
The seeds are also high in mucilaginous fibres which support healthy digestive membranes.

It is a rich natural source of vitamins A, B and C.
