Tap water contains chlorine, fluorine and bromines which bind to biochemicals in the body in preference to iodine. Unfortunately, we need iodine and not the other halogens present in tap water for our thyroids and cells to function properly. Our seaweed has been carefully sourced, checking right back to source with the harvester to avoid high heavy metal contamination which is now present in all of our seas and oceans ' some areas where seaweed is harvested are more contaminated than others so do check. Not recommended for pregnant or nursing mares.
