A simple, natural way to care for your horse every day

Thunderbrook Daily Bites is a thoughtfully made daily vitamin and mineral bar for horses and ponies that live mainly on forage. Feeding just one bar a day helps cover the daily requirements for essential vitamins and minerals for an adult horse, supporting balance and wellbeing without excess energy or complexity.

Created in keeping with Thunderbrook’s gentle, nature-led approach, Daily Bites is grain-free and low in sugar, starch and energy. It is particularly suited to horses living out, good doers, those in light or no work, and horses that do not receive a bucket feed. The bar format offers a quiet, stress-free alternative to powders and mixes, and is greatly enjoyed and palatable to most horses.

To support the body from within, Daily Bites includes yeast, helping to maintain a healthy digestive environment and support natural immunity. A small selection of flowers and herbs reflects the variety horses would naturally encounter when browsing, offering gentle, everyday support.

As with all Thunderbrook products, the recipe is kept intentionally simple — only ingredients that serve a clear purpose, chosen with care and respect for the horse’s natural needs.

Flowers and herbs for everyday balance

Horses are natural browsers, instinctively selecting grasses, plants and herbs that support their wellbeing. Modern grazing can be limited in variety, so Thunderbrook Daily Bites includes a gentle blend of traditional flowers and herbs to help restore some of this natural diversity:

  • Hawthorn – valued for its calming nature and support of circulation and digestion.
  • Marigold (calendula) – known for its soothing properties and gentle support of digestion and skin health.
  • Nettle – supports skin metabolism and kidney function and contributes to natural balance within the body.

Why we use a little cane molasses

Thunderbrook’s philosophy is to keep nutrition as close to nature as possible. For Daily Bites, a small amount of cane molasses is used with care to gently bind the natural ingredients into a stable, safe bar.

We use only pure cane molasses, included at a low level and chosen for its natural origin and consistency. This allows us to create a solid bar without synthetic binders, artificial flavours or unnecessary processing. The overall sugar and starch content remains ensuring the product stays suitable for forage-based diets and good doers.
